Liebster Award

Exciting news! I've been nominated for a Liebster award. This award is for bloggers who have less than 200 followers. It's a great way of spreading the word about other wonderful bloggers. I've actually been nominated for the award three times now, but part of the rules of getting this award are nominating eleven other bloggers, and I didn't want to nominate bloggers just because they had less than 200 followers, I wanted to nominate people who's blogs I actually enjoy reading. So I cheated a little and only nominated 6 bloggers. Thank you to Fashion Inciter, Fashion's Fade Style is Eternal, and Smize with Style for nominating me. Here are the rules of  the award:

11 Random Facts:

-whenever I drink water I count how many times I swallow. No other liquids, just water.
-I'm a vegetarian.
-I like to spend my money on vitamins.
-I am a feminist.
-It really irks me when other people are in the kitchen when I'm cooking. I've had to adjust to this since living with 5 roommates.
-I often explain situations in my life by comparing them to episodes of Friends.
-My favorite meal is brunch.
-I love working out. I was so proud of myself the first time I was able to do 10 real pushups in a row.
-I used to have 16 piercings. Now I only have 8.
-Instead of having babies I plan on having a large assortment of dogs. A menagerie of dogs, one might say.
-I was not a stylish person in high school and I am really surprised now to find myself writing a fashion column.

Why did you chose your blog name? What does it mean?

I chose my blog name because my last name is Young, and this blog is about things that I love!

What do you wear more, T-shirts and pants or dresses?

Right now I wear a lot more tshirts and pants than dresses because its winter, but in the summer most of what I wear is dresses.

You have 10 seconds to grab something to wear over a plain T-shirt, quick chose something!
I would probably choose a fun blazer in a bright color or fun pattern. I’m all about blazers.

Big tote bag or small clutch?

I usually go for a big tote bag, except for the rare occasions when I go to more formal events. I’m not that crazy about clutches though, I like to have a strap on my purse.

What piece of jewelry do you always wear?

My rose gold Michael Kors watch that my parents got me for my 21^st birthday.

Stripes, plaid, or polka dots?

Stripes for the win!

Favorite Fashion or Costume designer?

Abigail Lorick. She is the designer behind Blair Waldorf’s mother’s collection off of gossip girls. She is amazing.

What movie had the best costumes in your opinion?

Marie Antoinette. Mmmmmm those dresses.

How would you describe your style?

My style is every-changing. It is classic, but I like to try out trends, it's boyish but I love feminine pieces, it's vintage but I love modern looks too. I love classic pieces that are simple and cut really well. I guess the simplest description would be classic with a twist. My style is simply a representation of who I am.

What's your favorite thing to write and read about in fashion?

I love to read personal style blogs rather than fashion blogs, I like to know the personal anecdotes that go along with certain outfits.

What's your favorite color to wear and why?

This is a hard one! I just started wearing colour in the last year and a half, it was a big adjustment for me. I think royal blue is probably my favorite. It really stands out and looks great with a lot of other colours.

It Must be Nice to be a Bird - This girl is a good friend of mine, she is a really talented illustrator and makes amazing jewelry. 

Anjelais - I love this girl's blog because she does a lot more writing than a lot of bloggers that I follow, and she's a good writer. 

Style4Love - I am always drawn to blogs with great photos, and this girls photos are wonderful, and her sense of style is great.
