Some More Questions Answered

I made a post earlier this week about the Liebster Award, and I've actually been nominated again, which is kind of against the rules but rules are meant to be broken anyway. I've had a lot of fun reading the answers to the questions that I gave the people I nominated, so I thought I would answer the new set of questions that I received just to share a little bit more about myself with you guys. These questions come from my beautiful friend Maddie of It Must be Nice to be a Bird.

1) What is your favourite movie?

I tell people that it's White Oleander, but I don't know if that's actually true. While I love it, and Michelle Pfeiffer is amazing, I don't know if I am ready to commit to calling it my favorite. Another one of my favorites is Down With Love. The cast is hilarious and I love the 60's.

2) What is your favourite way to unwind after a long day?

I like to sit in bed with my computer with a cup of tea and have an episode of one of my favorite TV shows open on one side of the screen, and catch up on my blogs on the other side of the screen. 

3) Where do you like to do your blogging?

In bed. I do most things from my bed because I don't have a desk. I have a king sized bed just for myself, so one half of the bed is used for sleeping and the other half is a desk-type-thing. 

4) What kind of camera do you use?

I use a Nikon D80. It's a really great basic camera, and I just got two new lenses for it for Christmas. I have found that a good lens is what really makes a camera. Lately I'm trying to develop my skills as a photographer, because the blogs that I like to read are the ones that have great photos. I would really like to get a 50mm lens for my Nikon, I love the way the quality of a photo shot with a 50mm lens looks.   

5) What is your favourite summer activity?

Lying on the beach. There is nothing better. If I could do that all year round, I would be in heaven. 

6) What is your favourite season?

This is such a hard question because there are so many great things about all of them. I think I have to say that Summer and Fall are equally my favorites. 

7)What is your favourite childhood activity?

I always played make-believe and dress up as a child. If I ever do have children, I'm going to make them the best dress up box on the planet.

8) What is your job besides blogging? 

I work at the best women's clothing store in Kelowna. Hands down. It was recently described by my co-worker as a "sexy, sunny, girly, hippie, rocker, baben' boutique." That pretty much sums it up. 

9) What are you wearing right now?

This one made me laugh. Is it just me, or does it sound kind of dirty?  I just got home from zumba so I'm wearing some Lulu Lemon leggings and racer back tank, ankle socks and a classic American Apparel hoody. And I'm a sweaty mess.

10) Do you like where you are living?

There are things that I love about it and things that I'm not crazy about. I love the location and the house itself. It is a big old beautiful house in the downtown area, right by the beach. I love all the people that I live with, they're amazing. But the amount of people that I live with is getting to be a little too much for me. 5 people sharing one kitchen is a lot. As much as I have enjoyed living here for almost a year now, I think the next time I move I will opt for something a little smaller. The city itself, Kelowna, I have mixed feelings about as well. I like it but I've been here for most of my life, so I would like to get out soon and try somewhere new.

11) If you could have one wish what would it be?

This is a tough one too. I feel like I should try to pick something like world peace or some other such noble thing, but I think today I am going to be selfish. A friend of mine passed away unexpectedly last week, so my wish right now would be that it hadn't happened, although if we are going by Aladdin logic on wishes, I'm not allowed to bring people back from the dead. I just wish that I had had the opportunity to talk to him before he had passed and let him know how important he was to me and what a special place he had in my heart. I can't believe I'll never have the chance to talk to him again.
